Psp games, on the vita, can look less sharp and some emulators run within the psp emulation Adrenaline. There are some native RetroArch cores for vita. Generally, if your main goal is 8 and 16bit emulation then the psp does this as well as the vita. Some vita games run better as their ps4 ports. The PS Vita is thinner and lighter, while the two models share the same hardware. They have a similar feature set, although the PSV is slightly better. The PSV has a wider screen and higher resolution than the older PSP. The Vita can even download games from the popular PSP 2000. The PC version of P4G is literally the best version of Persona 4 hands down since the Vita version was already better than the PS2 release and the Steam port has QoL improvements on top of that I'd say Vita is best all around because it has Adrenaline which allows it to run pretty much everything that PSP would on top of it's own native apps. It also has a way better screen. I can't really think of any reason a PSP would be better. 3 Either way, the Vita is still notably sharper than the last-gen PSP, the standard model of which boasted a 4.3-inch display running at 480x272 for a ppi of 128, while the smaller PSPgo screen, at The Vita is very much alive, and while it might not be thriving like the Nintendo Switch, it's still one of the best handheld consoles, and totally worth owning.
